DECEMBER 12, 2012 AT 5:00 PM IS THE DEADLINE FOR PRESS KITS!

HASHTAG #bringthenoise2013 ON TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, AND TUMBLR IF YOU’RE THINKING OF PARTICIPATING OR HAVE ANYTHING TO SAY!!

ALL PRESS KITS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY THE LATEST DATE, DECEMBER 12, 2012 (12/12/12) 5:00 PM… NO EXCEPTIONS!

WHO?:

All BAND press kits should be given to CAB’s Programming Chair, Emily Magelof.(emagel1@students.towson.edu)

All DJ press kits should be given to CAB’s Marketing Chair, Kevin O’Conor. (kocono1@students.towson.edu)

WHAT?:

A press kit consists of:

•    The band / DJ’s biography or history
•    At least ONE Towson student’s ID number
•    Music samples (CD’s, MP3’s, or EP’s)
•    Photos of the band / DJ
•    A list of the band / DJ’s previous performances (when and where)
•    Contact information for the band / DJ’s label, manager, publicist, leader, or any other representative (if any)

*IMPORTANT* WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING ELECTRONIC PRESS KITS. ALL PRESS KITS MUST BE PHYSICAL COPIES, HANDED IN!

WHERE?:

ALL press kits should be dropped off at the CAB Office in the University Union which is located in the Student Activities Office, ( ROOM 226K).

If there is a conflict, please contact Emily Magelof (emagel1@students.towson.edu) to work something out. 

WHEN?:

SUBMIT YOUR PRESS KITS ASAP! The deadline is the last day of classes before finals, December 12, 2012, at 5:00pm! REMEMBER THE DATE, 12/12/12!!!!

The final 5 bands and the final 5 DJ’s will be announced during the last week of winter break.

Do you want to open up for TIGERFEST 2013?!

Join Towson CAB’s annual Battle of the Bands / DJ Spin Off, happening Friday, February 15! 

• 5 bands and 5 DJ’s will compete for the chance to open up for this year’s  Tigerfest artists, but only 2 acts will win! 

•  THERE MUST BE AT LEAST ONE TOWSON STUDENT IN EACH ACT, TO ENTER THE COMPETITION.

• Each band and DJ will get to perform for 20 minutes, in front of a panel of judges and a live audience, at Paws!

• In these artists, the judges are looking for good stage presence, talent / sound quality, originality, and audience participation / reactions.

IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO “BRING THE NOISE,” PLEASE SUBMIT YOUR PRESS KIT TO EMILY MAGELOF OR KEVIN O’CONOR BY DECEMBER 12, 2012! (5:00 PM - THE LATEST)
